Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Denial Analyst for the Denials Department at Corporate Office in Morristown NJ.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
Effectively follow/manage the department's workflow processes as well as the workload to ensure timely submission of denials
Understand explanation of benefits from payor in all areas of non-governmental insurance claims.
Analyze hospital claims data to identify contractual underpayments, denials, and billing errors.
Making billing adjustments in system based on outcome denial.
Manage denials inventory
work the close case report as it comes back from the denial's vendor
Submit information to payors as necessary and follow up with payros on in-house submitted dentials.
Communicates with ISS analyst to troubleshoot system issues.
Manage assigned work queues
Working with the other analyst in the department provide monthly denial reports to the department manager, clinical department, and case management.
Participate in vendor and department meeting/teleconferences.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma/ GED Required
Minimum Experience:
Understand EOB's
Minimum of 2 years experience in Healthcare Operations preferred.
Profeicient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel with experience setting up and using pivot tables
Demonstrated ability to perform data entry, information management, and clear communication to multiple level of organization
Planning and organization skills that gives the candidates the ability to muliti-task prioritize work, supporting and accept direction for multiple source, and perform detailed task with efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge of Epic, particularly hospital billing.
