L&I has a proven record of providing effective vocational recovery interventions that prevent the development of work disability by activating workers to take a lead role in their recovery. In this rapidly changing field, the Chief of Return-to-Work Partnerships is responsible for sustaining this success through the identification and implementation of the latest evidence-informed research in vocational and behavioral health services and interventions, thereby promoting a model of continuous improvement. The Chief of Return-to-Work Partnerships serves as the agency’s voice for work disability prevention and must be a vigorous advocate for a collaborative model of early intervention and effective and innovative approaches to return-to-work.
